Talking Events Beget Talking Events

Hey friends! First off, looks like I’m going on tour! I’ll be opening a night of live music, portraits, record pop-ups, and more with some folktale inspired stories! If you are in Fayetteville, Springfield, or Tulsa you should drop on by and see the Freshgrass Revue Tour. If you are here on this site, these shows might just be for you. I would have presumed my first tour would have been a book tour, but I always find a tangent to go down. And really I doubt anyone is surprised to learn I’m a variety show guy at heart, and comics don’t offer a lot of variety show potential.

Also, as reported last time I was doing back to back talks on Ozarks monsters across the state. First up was a presentation for the 30th Annual Delta Symposium at Arkansas State in Jonesboro. I drew up a Gowrow for a wonderful audience full of stories and anecdotes all their own. Also got to see some truly wonderful panels prior to my own. Wish I could have ended up seeing all of the other panels, great stuff, and a credit to Dr. Gregory Hansen who put it all together (as well as a photo credit to the image on the left)

The next day I was back in Fayetteville at the Public Library for a talk with Brandon Weston. Brandon’s basically an encyclopedia on these kinda things, so even when I’m not talking I get to sit and listen to great stories. Not a bad deal. We had a technical snafu that took out the live drawing element, but we just talked louder and more colorfully to compensate. I think it turned out to be a really cool event. If you missed it, the FPL put the whole talk on youtube! You can watch the whole thing below!

Till later days, keep safe and sturdy.
